Crystals for the Bedroom to Help You Sleep

Crystals for the Bedroom to Help You Sleep

I was really hesitant to bring crystals into my bedroom because I have complex sleep issues and didn’t want to upset the delicate balance I had created over the years. Boy, was I wrong! I have a giant blue calcite I call Big Blue. He’s less of a crystal and more of a friend, so he was the first one to make his way into my bedroom. I use him for anxiety—he’s a pretty chill dude—so it didn’t take long for him to take up residence.

The next crystal to sneak its way into my bedroom was an amethyst. I use amethyst for migraines, and since I like to nap when I get migraines, it’s not surprising that it ended up accidentally left in my room. However, it rolled off the bed and hid underneath, refusing to come out when I wanted to put it back where it belonged, beautifully displayed. It didn’t take long for me to realize why. Amethyst is excellent at helping with dreams, especially taking away the bad ones.

Then I heard that selenite was really helpful for sleepwalkers. So, I got a rather large piece of selenite and put it under my bed near the base. It has worked wonders, not just for my sleepwalking but also for constantly cleaning my root chakra throughout the night, helping me stay asleep better.

Just when I thought I had enough crystals in my bedroom and was starting to get a handle on my sleep, celestite joined my crystal collection on my bedside. This one did something unexpected. I’m a worrywart and tend to spend a lot of time in bed worrying about all the things I didn’t do, should have done, or will do. It made it really difficult for me to get to sleep with all that worrying. Celestite taught me that there is a time and a place for everything, and my bedroom isn’t it. Tomorrow’s problems would greet me tomorrow. There wasn’t a whole lot I could do about yesterday from the comfort of my bed, so worrying was no longer allowed.

I hope my experience with crystals and how they have dramatically changed my sleep helps inspire you to play around with your crystals, see what fits, and see what doesn’t. Sweet dreams!

I also use Amethyst for bad dreams. I have them set up on the left side, right side and foot of bed. I started with them about 3 months ago after being plagued night after night of terrifying dreams. So far so good, no bad dreams of late.
